25 years Juratherm

From its entry in the commercial register in July 2001 to the launch of its second production line. A family-owned business based in Bayreuth, part of the PLETZER Group since 2026.

History

  1. Founding of Juratherm GmbH

    Entry in the Bayreuth Commercial Register, Section B, Number 3552. Gerhard Friedel founded the company after more than 30 years as a sales representative and became its managing director.

  2. First warehouse in Bayreuth

    In the Ludwig-Thoma-Straße industrial park, with space for around 300 tanks.

  3. New home in Hummeltal

    After 13 months of construction, the offices and warehouse at Am Mailand 11 are complete, with space for approximately 250 tanks and 100 units of insulation.

  4. Property in Bayreuth

    After two very successful years, the company is running out of space. Juratherm is purchasing a property in Bayreuth with approximately 2,500 m² and plans to build a new logistics warehouse there.

  5. Move to Bayreuth

    After just 6 months of construction, the new facility is complete, along with four offices, a conference room, and a cafeteria. New address: Wilhelm-Busch-Str. 4, 95447 Bayreuth.

  6. New Sales Manager

    Stefan Hattler, who already had over 15 years of experience in the industry at the time, restructured the sales department. In its very first year, Juratherm secured a major association as a customer.

  7. Succession has been settled

    Florian Friedel joined the company after completing his apprenticeship as an IT specialist and worked his way through all departments. It quickly became clear that many processes could be digitized. Juratherm decided to develop its own software.

  8. Start of digitization

    Design work has transitioned from 2D to 3D using SolidWorks. All standard components, such as Klöpper heads, sockets, and flanges, are being redesigned. Since 2012, every customer has received detailed designs for their custom tanks.

  9. In-house software goes live

    Early in the morning, Juratherm shuts down the old IT system. After about 30 minutes, all data has been migrated and the new system is up and running across all departments.

  11. In-house production

    Juratherm handles the manufacturing of some products in-house to ensure it remains a reliable partner in the future.

  12. New Niersbach branch

    Niersbach Industrievertretung represents Juratherm in North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland.

  13. Second production line

    Juratherm is expanding its capacity and shortening delivery times. The new production line focuses on custom tanks and products tailored to customer specifications.

  14. Part of the PLETZER Group

    Following strong growth, Florian Friedel, second-generation managing director since 2015, is handing over the company to the PLETZER Group.
